In celebration of International Women’s Day, Ciders From Mars will be hosting two incredible local musicians – Ebony Nicole and Isabel March!
About the artists:
Ebony Nicole is a passionate singer and songwriter with a love for creating music that touches the heart and soul. Her journey in music is all about connecting with people through melodies and lyrics that tell a story. Using a sonic mix of folk, pop, and lo-fi rhythms. From soulful ballads to upbeat anthems, her songs are a blend of personal experiences with universal emotions. For music and more check out her Facebook page here.
Isabel March is a Virginia based singer – songwriter from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Stylistically, her music can be characterized as “dream folk”, pointing to influences like Gregory Alan Isakov, Sufjan Stevens, Jason Isbell and The Avett Brothers. Vocally, Isabel’s greatest influence is Billie Holiday, creating a compelling balance of folk and jazz in her compositions. For music and more check out her website here.
On Friday, January 17th, we are thrilled to host a kickoff party for the most highly anticipated local underground comic and zine fest of the year, SUCZ Fest!
Join us for original comics, animation and a conversation with cartoonist Dash Shaw and Thomas Campbell (“The Comics Blogger”). Special musical performances by Bantam Draper (Harrisonburg, VA) and Sensor Ghost (Washington, D.C.).

Virginia native Kass Richards, who is an integral member of the band U.S. Girls, is a folk singer and songwriter who currently resides in Boston, MA.
JH Burns, formerly known as “Dead Professional” is a Staunton native at heart, who is now based out of Nashville, TN.

Death By Bellows is a one man musical endeavor by Ivan Christo. Multi-talented Christo, equipped with an accordian, guitar, kazoo and a kick drum plays original sea shanties and traditional tunes from days of yore.
Boxcar Speakeasy Trio is a local, traditional hot jazz outfit that knows how to get those toes tappin’!

Staunton based cartoonist Ryan Brosmer is back in the taproom with another great event featuring indie comic artists!

Join us on Saturday, November 15th from 5pm – 7pm for live comic readings, multi-media performances and more. Followed by live music from Sweater Pie and Hearts in Exile!

Staunton Underground Comic and Zine Fest presents SUCZ  2 B U a comic and art festival at Ciders From Mars on Saturday, June 15th!

A comic-centric art market will take place from 11am – 4pm, featuring 25+ creators and artists.

Live comic readings and music will follow from 6pm – 8pm.

This event is FREE and ALL AGES!

For the months of April and May, we are proud to present a collection of new works by local multi-media artist, Elizabeth Wislar!

Opening reception for Wislar’s show will be from 5pm-6:30pm, with live music from local band Wax Bats to follow! A delicious feast of art for your eyes and ears!
